April 5

Today we thought was gonna be a horrible rainy day. I looked outside it was really gloomy out side and then the rain came it was really hard rain but it only lasted for 5 minutes.

we waited for about an hour then it was sunny. We got our swim suits on and packed up! The beach was beautiful. I was in the water for a long time playing in the waves they were huge! Me and Ben loved it! But it was hard to stand the under tow.

I got out for a little and tanned. While me and Ben were out of the water I heard a person say her husband just got stung by a jellyfish at first I didn't believe this but then I saw all the jellyfish wash up on the beach then I believed I wasn't going the water for a long time! meanwhile I was bored so my dad, Emma, Ben, and I
built a sandcastle it was really cool! Emma and I built a boat for the castle.

Finally it was time to pack up! We went back to our condo and took showers. we decided to go souvenier shopping. Only My dad, Emma, Ben and I went. This is what we got:

Emma: Shirt and Henna Tattoo ( a fake tattoo that only stays in for a month) 

Ben: A T-shirt

Lizzy: A T-shirt

When we got home there were burritos ready for us! We dug in

We then settled in for the night.

April 4

Today was a not so good day I woke up that morning I looked out side No dolphins, No sun.

Meanwhile, we decided to go shopping at Pier Park. We looked at department stores like Marshall's and other stores. (I almost got some clothes but I wanted to save it for the rest of the trip.)

We all got bored of Pier Park (because we went there so much.) we then decided to go and try to find a prom dress for my sister, Mikaela my dad typed it in and we were off! it took us about 30 minutes to get there but our GPS took is to the wrong place! It took us to an old yellow house!

We then asked Mikaela's friend to give us more directions to get to the store. It took us 20 more minutes to find it but we did. It was a crazy store there! Mikaela found some cute dresses and went to try them on. She tried them all on. Then it was down to a simple blue aqua dress or a "different style many color dress." She tried both of them on many times. She decided to go with "different style many color dress."

We went home and had dinner Lasagna yum! (at like 8 though!) I was really tired so after dinner I me and my mom layed in her bed until I fell asleep.

April 3

Hi!  I hope you are having a fun break too.  I'd love you to make comments and let me know what you are up too. I am excited to see you when we return to MI!

Time is going fast here in PCB!  Today we were supposed to get up early and do a dolphin boat trip.  But, when we woke up it was raining, so we re-scheduled for later today.  I was bummed but hoped it would work out later. 

My sisters wanted to check out some discount shopping so we headed to Ross and TJ Maxx in Panama City.  We looked a lot and only found a couple of things.  But, Ben and I had some luck finding baseball cleats at Sports Authority. 

We drove back to our hotel after that.  We went to the beach for a bit.  It was cloudy but the rain had stopped. 

Finally, it was time!  We drove to our Dolphin Boat Ride.  Our captain was named Robbie.  He has been doing this for nine years.  It was just six of us in the boat.

Captain Robbie took us out to the channel and we began looking for dolphins.  A big Navy Boat came by making a lot of huge waves.  Soon after that, we saw dolphins and they began jumping the waves.  It was so cool!

He took us to a lot of spots in the channel and then we made our way to Shell Island. During that time we saw a lot of dolphins close up. 

Our captain FINALLY took us snorkling. (I was waiting for it the whole time!) We saw starfish, sanddollars, sea erchiuns and Sponge.  It was so cool!

Then it was time to be done ):. But my dad spotted a mama and a baby swimming so our captain stopped the boat and watched and waited. They were so close! I almost touched them!

After our tour was done we decided to stop and eat at Chick-Fil-A it was really good!

Now we are settling in for the night!

April 2

Today was BEAUTIFUL 90 and sunny! We like to eat breakfast on our deck each morning.  This morning, as we were eating, we saw a bunch of dolphins out in the Gulf.  There was a whole pod of dolphins just hanging around the sandbar and one was just off the shore it was really close!

Then we joined our friends at a resort down the road called Splash. It was a cool resort with water slides on the Gulf.  We brought our lunches and joined them on the beach to have lunch together. I hung out with Ella who is 8.  We played in the ocean together and then had fun in the water park. My mom bought me a foo foo drink called "Blue Raspberry" Drink to cool off because it was so hot.  It was super busy there with kids everywhere.  But, I liked it a lot!

We joined our friends for dinner at Reggae J's.  We got to eat outside and listen to a lot of fun music. Reggae J's was inside Pier Park. My sister's, Ella, and I went and walked around Pier Park. We saw a lot of cute little shops! We then headed home and relaxed for the night.

April 1

Today was a gorgeous day in Florida! It was 83 and sunny! I got up this morning and went sea shelling. We searched and searched but didn't find many seashells. We began packing up and looked back at the Gulf and realized there were dolphins swimming around.  I don't know how many there were exactly.  But, we kept seeing the tops of them pop up in the water.  It was so cool!

After that, we decided to take a drive and take a look at the town of Panama Beach. Wow! What a busy place here.  A lot of high school and college students come here to celebrate spring break. We did see a lot of families too.  We got some more groceries (needed laundry detergent!) and checked out the area.

It was then time to head to the beach. We got ready and ate lunch then were out the door. The beach is right in front of us but we had to take the elevator down and walk to it.  There were a lot of people already there.  But, we got pretty close to the water.  Ben, Mom and I walked to the sand bar and played in the water.
The waves were awesome! I was in the water for an hour. It was so much fun!!! I tanned for a little.

 We all got bored so we decided to go to the pool across the road it was really busy! (But I had fun!) Ben, Emma, and I went into the pool but it was really cold (but in 83 degree weather you can imagine it was refreshing!) My dad jumped in and threw me and Ben around (it was awesome!) we got bored and decided to head back to the condo and head for Pier Park. (it's an outdoor shopping amusement park.)

We took showers and got ready to shop! Pier Park is right down the road but because of the heavy traffic it still took a bit to get there. Pier Park is like an open air mall with lots of bright colored buildings.  The amusement park was open too. I want to go back and ride some rides. We just walked around and my sisters checked out some shops.  I went to the Nike Store to look for some tennis shoes.  No luck though.  It was fun to walk around and just check it out. I am sure we will go back!

I realized when I got back I had red spots over me from being burnt. ( Not very good for the first day!) My mom prepped dinner and we had a WONDERFUL dinner! Now I am taking it easy and trying to recover from my big day and my burns!

Friday March 30th and Saturday March 31st

This is how we started our Florida trip! We left Friday morning at 5:50. I was excited and the first one up that morning.  We travelled all day.  The traffic was really busy.  Thank goodness, we had snacks packed along with movies.
Then we got to Alabama at 5:00 (Aalabama time 6:00 Michigan time)  We stopped  in northern Alabama then left Saturday morning at 8:30 (Alabama time 9:30 michigan time) . It was a nice hotel that had an indoor outdoor pool.  Plus, we ate at one of my favorite places to eat, Red Robin.  Yum!

The next day we got up early again.  But, you know I love mornings. (well, more than my sisters!) After lots of traffic jams we got to Panama City at 2:00 p.m.  The worst part was that our room wasn't ready yet so we went to the pool across the street (there are 3 pools but two are across the street) ti'll 3:40 and our room still wasn't ready. Then we decided to go to the beach for like an hour then finally our room was ready. This is the lay out of the room: 2 rooms the master bedroom has a king bed, then the other room has a queen and then there is a bunkbed and a pull out sofa. The kitchen is big and there is a family room. the deck is very nice it has a table and two chairs.

 We got situated then my mom and Emma went to go get our pizza and groceries. The rest of us stayed home and  watched the big final four game. My sister and my mom didn't get home til 8:30 so we ate at 8:40 (but we are an hour behind Michigan so really 9:40 at home) I went to bed at 10:00 (really 11:00) then couldn't sleep and woke back up at 10:50 (11:50 Michigan) then fell back asleep at 11:45 (12:45 Michigan time)
